Here is a look at a MOC I built – the Angel of Life Custom LEGO Hospital.
More accurately, this is a medical centre as it is not large enough to be a full-sized hospital.
Based on my backstory, the medical centre is a feature building in my town. Besides being the only medical facility in Brick Beach, it is well known for its effective, but controversial, treatments and procedures in youth regeneration, cosmetic surgery, treatment of terminal illnesses and life extension.
Named the “Angel of Life” medical centre is a custom MOD/ MOC based on a design by L.G. Orlando that he calls Anastasia Astoria, International Hotel.
The instructions for the original MOC are available for sale at brickbuilderspro.com.
Here is a side-by-side comparison of both builds:
I modified the exterior and expanded the building so that the first 3 levels fill the back of the base plate. The original design was similar to the “Cafe Corner”, where the back corner of the building is recessed in. I used a lot of parts from the LEGO Friends “Heartlake Hospital” (41318) for this MOC.
I also changed the interior completely and detailed every floor. The first floor holds an operating theatre, consultation room, reception and pharmacy.
The second floor includes a nursery as well as a research lab and advanced treatment room with the latest medical equipment.
The third level features 3 recovery beds, nurse’s station, supplies closet and bathroom.
